Swine Flu

May 02, 2009 By: alex

Swine flu is caused by some strains of influenza virus which often infect pigs. Research indicates that Swine flu is more common in Mexico, Canada, U.K, Italy, Sweden, Midwestern and South America. However some cases are also reported in Kenya, Taiwan, Japan, China and some parts of East Asia. Generally it cannot infect human beings but the people who continuously stay in touch with pigs are at risk of transmission of SIV from pig to them. If SIV some how transfers to human body, it results in influenza which is then called swine flu. So far, only 52 cases have been reported to be infected by swine flu. Symptoms of swine flu are similar to influenza. Patient may feel chills, sore throat, fever, muscle pains, moderate to severe headache, weakness, coughing and general body discomfort. SIV can be transmitted to human body via open wounds; pigs blood exposure or too close contacts with pigs. It is still unknown that eating pork can transfer SIV or not. People with weak immune system should avoid close contacts with pigs.

I hate pigs. I don’t even want to say their name. See how much problems are caused by pigs. Don’t eat pork now and don’t go near pigs. Swine flue is spreading and we need to take measures to stop it. Govt better throw away those pigs from living areas and ban pork.
