Samsung i8910 Omnia HD is one of the latest cell phone released by Samsung. I believe they have done a lot of research before development of this cell phone. It supports both 2G and 3G networks. This is a slim cell phone weighting 144 Grams. Cell phone length is 123mm while it is 53mm wide and 12.9mm thin. I8910 Omnia has a touch screen which is scratch resistant. It has accelerometer sensor and proximity sensor for auto off. Any sound file which is in MP3, wav or Midi format can be set as a ringtone. I8910 Omnia HD is a stereo cell phone with a high quality sound output using two different speakers. That high quality sound is achieved using digital natural sound engine (DNSE 2.0). Cell phone has two different versions from memory point of view, one is 8GB and second one is 16GB. Phone book can record unlimited number of contacts with photo call and photo contact functionality. Cell phone also has and audio output Jack which is 3.5mm wide. External card can be used to boast phone memory. Card should be microSD and 16GB at max. This Samsung mobile phone has GPRS class 12 which can handle up to 48 kbps data. Mobile phone is EdGE (C12) and 3G (7.2Mbps) capable. It has WLAN Wi-Fi802.11b/g, DLNA which can be used with standard wireless local area networks. Phone has Bluetooth v2.0 (A2DP) and USB v.2.0 as well. Two resolutions are available, 720×480@30 frames per second and VGA resolution at 30 frames per second. You can also capture QVGA time lapse and slow motion video recordings. The secondary camera is CIF front side cam which can be used for video call. i8910 Omnia HD has a 600MHZ powerful processor inside with 3d Graphics HW accelerator. You can play 3D cell phone games as well. This cell phone has a WAP/xHTML and a Standard HTML web browser which can display full web pages. The second extra ordinary feature of i8910 Omnia HD is its FM transmitter which can transmit on FM frequencies. However please note that it is illegal to transmit on those FM frequencies which you don’t own in some countries. Phone has Stereo FM Radio with RDS as well. So you can use two i8910 phones as a walky talky as well using FM transmitters and receivers of both phones. i8910 Omnia HD has built in GPS (A-GPS) system with Samsung Navigator. You can also run Java based applications and games on this phone using its MIDP 2.0 capabilities. Built in java applications include MP3 player, mp4 player with latest Div updates, and organizer, a digital compass, a voice memo, voice dial and an organizer. i8910 Omnia HD has a large battery having 1.5 AH of power due to which this phone has 600 hours of standby time.
